Subject: [s390] hvc_console: upgrade version of hvc_console
Message-id: 20090312142657.GR5103@redhat.com
O-Subject: [RHEL5 U4 PATCH 17/20] FEAT: s390 - hvc_console: upgrade hvc_console to a recent version (s390 only)
Bugzilla: 475551

Description:
============

The patch upgrades the hvc_console.[ch] files and renames them
to _s390.[ch] to have an up-to-date version w/o touching other
architectures.
The upgrade includes the patchset from linux-2.6.git:
git diff v2.6.18..7f8030d166f8 drivers/char/hvc_console.[ch]

Bugzilla:
============
BZ  475551
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=475551

Upstream status of the patch:
==============================

The patch is upstream.

The upgrade includes the patchset from linux-2.6.git:
git diff v2.6.18..7f8030d166f8 drivers/char/hvc_console.[ch]

Test status:
============

The patch has been tested and fixes the problem.
The fix has been verified by the IBM test department.

Please ACK.

With best regards,
