wmakerconf is started with

> wmakerconf [OPTION] [[--show SectionName ...] | [--hide SectionName ...]]

where options can be one of:
--config WindowMakerFilename
defines the filename of configuration file WindowMaker
--no-inet
	deactivates all internet actions
--help
	prints small help
--version
	prints current version

With options --show or --hide individual sections (panels) can be
selected. If one or more --show options are specified then only these
panels are shown. On the other hand, if one or more --hide options are
given then the remaining set of panels is shown. Options --show and
--hide can't be use together. Valid section names are menu,
appearance, themes, shortcuts, mouse, windows, workspace, effects,
paths, or misc.

Wmakerconf automatically generates a backupfile 'WindowMaker.bak` and
'WMRootmenu.bak` in case you need to revert to your original files.

Previews
========
Since image loading of all your pixmaps requires a lot of time,
wmakerconf generates small previews of all theme pixmaps and
pixmaps in the directories PixmapPath and writes them on your
harddisk. Use the 'Update Previews' command in the themes context menu
or preview browser window to generate (or update) these previews.
Preview are stored in the directory ~/.wmakerconf/.

File Menu
=========
Save:
Store current settings in the files WindowMaker, WMRootMenu
Open:
Read values from a style, a theme, or a WindowMaker file
Revert:
Revert to backup files WindowMaker and WMRootmenu and exit
	wmakerconf
Upgrade:
Connect to the wmakerconf WWW homepage and check if the Window
Maker attributes have been changed. If yes, get new
wmakerconf-data package, unpack and install it. You must
restart wmakerconf to use the new attributes. (If wmakerconf
was installed via RPM then an RPM upgrade is used). Please
ensure that you have the right permissions, e.g., log in as root.
Exit:
Exit wmakerconf, but ask whether or not to save the changed
	values.

Changing the Window Maker attributes should be self-explanatory since
tooltips are provided for every option. You can disable the tooltips
by deactivating the Help->Tooltips check menu item.

Some notebook pages need some more documentation:

Rootmenu
========

In the tree view of the application menu (rootmenu), the following
commands are available via context menu (mouse button 3) or shortcut:

Insert new submenu (Control+m):
Inserts a new submenu in front of selected row
Insert new command (Control+c):
Inserts a new menu item in front of selected row
Insert WMAKERCONF menu:
Inserts a new menu folder to provide a fast way to configure
Window Maker with individual sections of wmakerconf
RedHat menu/Insert Debian menu:
Insert a new menu item in front of selected row that includes
the system menu provided by the corresponding distribution
Insert KDE menu/Insert GNOME menu:
Insert a new menu item in front of selected row that shows
the system menu of KDE or GNOME
Insert default menu:
Insert Window Maker's default menu in front of selected row. Use the
<import> button to change the menu.
Cut item/submenu (BackSpace/Delete/Control+k):
Move selected item/submenu to the cut buffer
Past item/submenu (Insert/Control+y):
Paste contents of cut buffer in front of selected row
Expand submenus:
Expand all submenus of the menu

Rows can be selected with the cursor keys or a mouse button 1
click. Individual nodes can be expanded/collapsed with Space, Return
or a double click of mouse button 1. Menu items can be reordered with
drag and drop (mouse button 1).

The command configuration shouild be self-explanatory. Tooltips are
provided for all options. Commands "Include menu file" and "Include
dynamic menu" have an import button to paste the contents of the
corresponding menu in front of the selected row. So you can include,
for example, Window Maker's default menu (in your language) and change
it.

Themes
======

The theme panel tree shows a list of all your themes stored in any of
your theme directories. The list of toplevel theme directories can be
changed with the context menu "Directory list..." (right click in
theme list). All theme actions are available via context menu.
Two selection modes are available:
- single selection with drag and drop: only one theme can be selected,
themes can be moved in the tree with drag and drop (WARNING: the
themes are physically moved in the file system, there is no undo
  available)
- extendend selection without drag and drop: multiple themes
can be selected (shift, control, or mouse drag), drag and drop is
  not available

Context menu

Open:
Open selected theme and update wmakerconf with the loaded
	values.
Rename:
Rename theme filename (WARNING: the theme is physically
renamed, there is no undo available)
Save:
Save current settings of wmakerconf as theme pack. The theme name
and format are requested in a dialog window. Default
output format is the theme pack which is used by Window
Maker (setstyle command). However, you can also generate
.tar.gz theme archives to share your themes with friends (or
	distribute them, e.g., at http://wm.themes.org).
Remove:
Delete all files and directories associated with the selected
themes. In a dialog window, individual files can be selected,
for example, if some pixmaps are part of multiple themes. Be
careful, there is no way to restore these files after
	confirming the remove!!
New directory:
Make a new directory in the parent directory
Preview:
Let Window Maker temporarily show the selected themes.
Set:
Open selected theme, update wmakerconf with the loaded values
and save settings of wmakerconf (i.e., Window Maker will show
	the selected theme).
Install:
Install a list of themes (gzip/bzip2 compressed tar archives
or style files). Both local files and WWW hyperlinks are
supported: wmakerconf gets the requested theme via WWW
request. You may drag files or hyperlinks from your favorite
file manager (e.g., gmc) or WWW browser (e.g., netscape) and
drop them on the 'themes to install' list.
Directory list:
Modify the list of toplevel theme directories.
Expand directory tree:
	Expand all sub-directories
Collapse directory tree:
	Collapse all sub-directories
Update Previews:
A small preview is generated for all the theme pixmaps to
speed up the theme preview display in the bottom right corner
of the theme dialog. Note that the pixmap preview browser (of
the texture dialog) also uses these previews (a preview of the
file 'path/to/image.ext' is stored in the file
	/path/to/.previews/image.ext).
