The directory tree of the drupal package has changed to conform better to the file system hierarchy standard. This means, the drupal core is now in /usr/share/drupal, configuration files are stored in /etc/drupal and the files are stored in /var/lib/drupal When upgrading from the Mandriva package or a version of the Mageia package prior to 7.8, you have to migrate your configurations and files manually. If you do an initial installation of drupal, you have to do the following after the installation of the package: - create a database (see /usr/share/doc/drupal/INSTALL.*.txt) - copy /etc/drupal/sites/default/default.settings.php to /etc/drupal/sites/default/settings.php and change its permissions to 666 so the installation script can write changes to it (don't forget to change those permissions back to 644, when you have finished the configurationfor security reasons) For security reasons, the default settings are, that only localhost can access the drupal installation. If you want to change that, you have to edit /etc/httpd/conf/webapps.d/drupal.conf accordingly. Be aware that the database servers (mariadb, postgresql or sqlite) has to be installed as well.
