This is the full list of FEROS keywords, with a short description of their
meaning.

definition.

<P>

=20pt<EM>WLC_IMG/C/1/80</EM> - Name of the raw wavelength
calibration frame.  This keyword is used only for the on-line version
of the FEROS software.

=20pt<EM>GUESS_TBL/C/1/80</EM> - Name of table with the approximate
order position.  Use in the order definition.

<P>

=20pt<EM>CENTER_TBL/C/1/80</EM> - Name of the table where the
detected order position are stored.

=20pt<EM>LOC_CUTSTEP/I/1/1</EM> - Step size in pixel for the cuts
used to follow the orders.

values are EMISSION and ABSORPTION. Should be EMISSION.

table. A table with the name ThAr50000 is delivered with FEROS. This
is based on a table of wavelengths optimized for a resolution of
50,000 and was kindly supplied by Herman Hensberge. It was extended
with lines of Ne, since FEROS also has a Ne lamp and Ne has important
lines in the red part of the spectrum.

identification.

of line identification. Only stronger lines will be used for this first
step.

This parameter affects calibration only in mode G, which is
normally not used.

affects calibration only in mode G, which is normally not used.

<P>

(degrees) This affects calibration only in mode G, which is normally
not used.

=20pt<EM>REBIN_SCL/C/1/1</EM> - Scaling of rebinned spectrum valid
values are I for lInear and O for lOgarithmic.

spectrum.

=20pt<EM>MERGE_MTD/C/1/12</EM> - Merging method. Valid values are
NOAPPEND, AVERAGE, SINC. The method AVERAGE is not recommended. SINC
takes the length of the orders to be averaged into account. It needs a
table with the fixed name BLAZE, where the order limits are
stored. Method NOAPPEND is used to extract orders into individual
files.

<P>
=20pt<EM>MERGE_DELTA/R/1/1</EM> - Wavelength interval at the edges
of orders to be skipped for averaging. Used for MERGE_MTD=AVERAGE.

<P>

=20pt<EM>MERGE_ORD/I/1/2</EM> - Order numbers Ord1, Ord2 to be
extracted.  Used for MERGE_MTD=NOAPP.
