dracut is the default mkinitrd replacement in mageia

If you really want to use old mkinitrd instead of dracut run
update-alternatives --set mkinitrd /sbin/mkinitrd-mkinitrd

NOTE!
We only support the use of mkinitrd with initscripts.
If you use systemd (the default setup) you _must_ use dracut.
